Fortunately, a peek into holistic health changed the trajectory of my life forever. Fast forward through many lifestyle shifts, better habits, and years of education, and nearly every area of my life has transformed. As a result, I’ve created The Habit Honey to fulfill my mission of making this world a healthier, happier place for all. I love that I now get to provide education, inspiration, and lots of resources to help YOU ignite transformation & healing in your own life - one habit at a time.

I know what it’s like to be unwell, have unsupportive habits, and feel isolated, overwhelmed, and confused on the path to better health. Nearly a decade ago, I was desperate to get well, and conventional medicine & a standard American diet were only making me sicker.

It was while in agony on a cruise ship that I decided I didn't know how, but life was going to have to change...

why i am here

My Story

I had been suffering for over 15 years from debilitating stomach pains, eczema, back pain, and anxiety. Since the ripe old age of 7, I had seen numerous Doctors and specialists with zero relief or improvement. I was completely fed up and knew my future held a lot more than what I was limited to due to health issues. 

When I got home, I immediately started researching everything I could about natural ways to heal. Soon after, I was referred to a naturopath, and blown away by this new world of “medicine.” I went all in with the testing and protocols she gave me. I started making shifts in my diet, and within months my life was changing drastically. I became an expert in reading nutrition labels, choosing the best ingredients, and cutting through all the mainstream nutrition BS. I was blown away that food had the power to do what all the medications I took over the years did not. This changed the trajectory of my life and was the catalyst for everything I am so passionate about today. 

After I tackled the food, I started learning about the toxins in beauty products, home goods, air, water, etc. This resulted in another life overhaul and deepened both my love for the planet and my desire to do better for the environment. Over the next few years, I radically changed my lifestyle, got off all medications, and was sold on gaining as much knowledge as possible in the area of holistic health and integrative medicine. This resulted in certifications as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Integrative Health Practitioner, in addition to my career as a Registered Nurse.

I was just getting started though... 

With all the improvements in my physical world, it was time to take a deep dive into my internal world. I began passionately researching the role our emotions and mindset play in our lives and became obsessed with the inner workings of the mind. This led to hundreds of hours of study, overcoming a lifetime of limiting beliefs, and a certification as a Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Throughout all of this, I began to realize there was one critical thing that had gotten me to the successes I’ve had, and also the setbacks I’ve had. That one thing was my habits. As the foundation of our entire lives, our habits can lead to health and happiness, or sickness and sadness. Every choice we make has a domino effect - not only on our personal lives, but on everyone, and thing around us. This ignited a fire in me to take a serious assessment of my daily habits and accept the fact that the very structure and routine I once rebelled against was the gateway to the health and freedom I so badly desired. Today, my habits are my greatest ally, and even the freedom-loving Sagittarius in me has come to see them as my superpower. This is how I became a habit honey

The journey to get here has been a challenging one but with each challenge, I seek out even greater rewards. I have learned so much, yet I know this is truly only the beginning of my story. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for being here. I look forward to writing the next chapter of my life and helping you become a healthy, happy Habit Honey, too.
